Is this a confidential format?

Yes.  I am bound by complete confidentiality except in three cases:

1. If you are engaged in the abuse of a minor
2. If you are going to harm yourself and will not seek additional care to ensure your safety
3.  If you report you are going to harm someone else then I have a duty to warn

In these three cases only I must take steps to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

Encrypted e-mail assures you that no one has access to our communication.  It will be important for you to find a safe and secure place to both write your e-mails and read my responses.

How do I know if on-line counselling is for me?

If you are feeling “stuck” in your life with mild anxiety, depression, caught in patterns of unhealthy relationships, find it a challenge to find your own voice in work or social relationships, are facing life choice (e.g. new job, new relationship, move to a new city) on-line conselling can assist you.

What are your credentials?

I am a Masters prepared Registered Clinical Social Worker (MS, RSW) with the Alberta College of Social Workers.  I am also an approved Clinical Supervisor with that same College.  I bring more than 30 years of post-Masters clinical experience to assist you in resolving your concerns.
